Our 100% Polyester Base / 100% Rayon Pile Burnout Velvet combines two techniques in one construction: a light burnout pass thins the pile between motifs for subtle tonal and textural depth, then an abstract copper and navy patchwork of mottled blocks is printed over the top on a black ground, each block outlined in fine cream stitched-style dashes. The result is a richly patterned, fully opaque velvet rather than a sheer devoré. At 180 GSM with a 138±1 cm (54.3”±0.4”) usable width, the polyester base gives it enough structure for both garments and upholstered pieces.

Can I get a sample before ordering in bulk?
Yes — we can cut a swatch or send a full-width sample so you can see the pile-and-print contrast and the copper and navy colorway in person before committing to yardage.
Is this fabric sheer or see-through?
No — the burnout pass here is light, thinning the pile between motifs for tonal depth rather than dissolving it to a sheer chiffon ground. The fabric reads as a fully opaque, textured velvet, not a transparent one.
Can the colorway or pattern scale be changed?

Care Instructions
- For garments: gentle machine wash, cold, in a mesh bag, or dry clean for best long-term pile and print definition.
- For upholstery or décor use: spot clean with a mild detergent and a soft brush; avoid saturating the backing.
- Do not iron directly on the pile. If needed, steam from the reverse side only, holding the iron away from the fabric.
- Hang or tumble dry on low heat; store hanging or loosely rolled rather than folded, to avoid permanent crease marks in the pile.
- Do not bleach.
